What's Shakin'

Mon Oct 12, 2009, 3:31 PM
Okay so, I have nothing but sketches and rough drafts to upload. Reason why this is...AP classes are a pain in the butt and I'm behind. I gotta be honest here, I still don't understand why I'm taking these classes, but I'll put up with them until this year is out. School isn't the only reason why I haven't been arting a lot lately. Just last week I had a huge emotional breakdown over the drama that my parents keep recycling in our lives. I almost went so far as to move out and live with some friends, but that didn't work out and I'm thankful. I had felt really detached from my mother and father for a while, and when I talked to them about moving out I heard what I needed to. I don't have the greatest confidence in the world, and I doubt myself constantly. They know that now too, and they understand that it means A LOT to me when they go to my shows. It does, I need the support and it feels so nice when you have family and friends in the audience.

So yeah, excuses excuses. XD Hahah, I'm not going to get into anymore detail about this and I'll avoid talking about it. But if you want to know don't hesitate to ask, :) it's just another way of showing ya care.

I will update some art and writing soon!!! PROMISE!!! :D

I just poked through what's left of my gallery, and well...

I have barely anything in there at all, which is funny for someone who's been on DA for 4 years. I've been drawing a lot more lately, and I still have a few projects sitting in my Work in Progress folder. The lack of any paint program, that is willing to put up with my tablet, on my computer is coasting me greatly. I miss posting art and getting feed back.

SO goal #1 is to get off my bum and force Vista to deal with my photoshop disk, it needs to not be such a pansy about it. THEN I'll be able to finish two of my old CG paintings and then work on coloring the drawings I have. Heck, I might just post the sketches in my gallery for a while. :3 I hope you guys will like my style improvements, things are looking really great so far.

Love, Stay Safe, Live Long, and Prosper~

Also, HECK YES I'M INTO STAR TREK!! D< Shut it. Hahah, I grew up with Next Generation, and-rarely-The Original Series. So, it's only natural that I love it now. Haha, well, now that I can understand what the heck is going on, and I can keep up with all the episodes.

Also,

I cried. This article makes me wonder who it really is who has the mental sickness. You NEVER abuse a child in anyway or form! And you NEVER force your own views onto them either. It's immoral and anyone who does that should die in a fire, and go to hell. Also, bring on your comments, I want to see your point of view on this.

What's New

Tue Jun 23, 2009, 3:25 PM
So far this summer has been going okay, I've had some great times with friends and family. I went up the the Art Institute of Colorado and got to take a look around. At first I was thinking of a job in Graphic Design, but, once I got around to talking to my tour guide, I figured out that striving for a job in Animation would be better for my art style and interests. I'm a little worried on how that will work out and getting into AIC isn't guaranteed. I still have two more years of High School and I'll be heading out for college, weather I get into AIC or not. Around this time next summer I'll be going back up to AIC to get a more detailed look at things, and I'll have a conversation with a professor there. One thing is for sure, going to school there wont be cheep but I'm still going to keep my hopes up, and keep striving for that dream. Thanks Tommy for inspiring me to work harder as an artist!

Now, a side from my real vacation, life is tough right now so I'm going to be majorly lacking in the motivation I need to work on art. There are a few projects that I can't wait to finish and start working on, so you guys will get something out of me this summer I promise.

To do list:

:bulletred:-Double check hotel for NDK
:bulletred:-Reinstall Photoshop
:bulletred:-Start planning sketches for Ray's picture
:bulletred:-Finish coloring the picture for Ali
:bulletred:-Start planning sketches for this year's cosplays

:bulletpurple:-Start reference sheet for Lexyla
:bulletpurple:-Start comic pages
:bulletpurple:-Start planning and self training for short animation
